I had a full time job but it only required me to work on the weekends. It wasn’t a good job, it was in a warehouse. I lost that job a few months ago and am now a full-time stay-at-home dad. I have two girls one born May 2005 and one born December 2006. My struggle comes from trying to be the best dad that I can be, trying to find a new job, the struggle between what a new job will mean for our family (childcare, the added expense of the job itself, etc.).
I am trying to start a home-based design business from the ground up by doing web, graphic, logo, print layout design as well as other computer/tech related jobs such as photography, videography, content/database management. I have a website at www.jzinger.com. Getting this up and profitable would be ideal as I could do this from home and wouldn’t have to send the girls to child care.
I have a B.A. in Communication, an A.S. in Film/Video Production and additional training in web programming. This blog is about my adventures as a stay-at-home dad. If you enjoy it, let me know in the comments of a recent post.
